A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (class of prof. Jan Stanienda), Karolina is a violinist of the Sinfonia Varsovia, a leading Polish symphony orchestra and an ambassador of Polish culture around the world. Karolina is a winner of numerous solo and chamber competitions, including 2nd prize at II Tadeusz Wroński Youth Competition for Solo Violin and 1st prize at the III Grażyna Bacewicz National Competition of String Chamber Ensembles. As a recipient of the Yamaha award for Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien scholarship, she participated in International Summer Academy in class of Dora Schwarzberg. During the studies, she was chosen with her string quartet to represent the University in concert exchange with Universität der Künste Berlin, on the Warsaw Spring Festival in Tallin, and at International Festival of Contemporary Music. She has also participated in numerous festivals like International Academy of Art in Zakopane, Princess Daisy Ensemble Festival in Książ castle, Musethica Festival – editions in Zaragoza and Berlin and workshops, during which she worked with such names as Krzysztof Jakowicz, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, Wanda Wiłkomirska, Leszek Brodowski, Marcin Markowicz, Krzysztof Meyer, Alexander Gebert, Simon Cartledge, Tomoko Akasaka, Jose Gallardo. Karolina joins iPalpiti festival as member of the new “Splot” string quartet with iPalpiti’s violist Agnieszka Podłucka.
